A Taste of Radio (we recommend a maximum 30 people per session)
This workshop for schools, colleges or community groups, can be delivered as one group for the whole day or as two repeated half day workshops. We will come to you with the challenge to research, produce and present your own radio show, but you have to do it within a time limit. A CD of the work produced on the day will be provided.
Weekend Intensive (maximum 10 people)
This course covers how to prepare a show, production training in the studio and presenter skills. It will help you to understand the process of good presenting and the basics of radio broadcasting and take you into the studio to put your new skills to the test! This course is an excellent introduction for beginners but is equally useful for those with experience who are keen to brush up their technique. A CD of the work produced will be sent to the lead organisation. Extra copies can be made at a small additional charge.
Introduction to Broadcasting (maximum 10 people)
Focused on youth groups and community organisations this course covers the basic skills required for undertaking broadcast presenting and equipment operation. This 6 session course of two hours per session will include research skills and materials, script writing for radio, production skills and presenter training, all the elements you need to create and present a good radio/podcast programme. It's a great opportunity to pick up and fine-tune your skills.
The RADIO Factor (we recommended a maximum of 10 people per course)
The aim is to have a completed radio programme/feature or Podcast ready for broadcast by the end of day 5!
This comprehensive package ideal for youth groups and community organisations covers all aspects of radio broadcasting focusing on developing research skills, script writing for radio, production skills and presenter training - all the elements you need to create and present a good radio programme. The sessions can be held at our studios or we can come to you with our mobile equipment. It's a great opportunity to pick up and fine-tune your skills. A CD of the work produced will be provided.
